【Abstract】 Objective To investigate the correlation of dual-phase contrast enhanced MSCT imaging fea-
tures and clinicopathological risk grades of gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GISTs). Methods A retrospective analy-
sis was performed to analyze the dual-phase contrast enhanced MSCT imaging features and clinicopathological risk
grades of 73 patients with pathologically and immunohistochemically confirmed GISTs. Results GISTs showed no
statistically significant difference in location, growth pattern, shape, calcification and ulcer, enhanced degree between
different clinicopathological risk grade groups (P>0.05), but exhibited significant difference in size, enhanced pattern,
surrounding fat interspace and appearance vessel-like artery shadow (P<0.05). Benign and malignancy tendency as-
sessed by dual-phase contrast enhanced MSCT features of GISTs had high correlation with clinicopathological risk
grades (r=0.7682). Conclusion Dual-phase contrast enhanced MSCT imaging characteristics can be used to predict
GISTs clinicopathological risk, and can help evaluate biological behavior of GISTs on pre-surgery and institute ratio-
nal treatments.
