      【摘要】 颈动脉窦压力感受性反射的作用被认为主要是在短期内缓冲血压变化。然而最近的动物实验数
据表明，颈动脉窦压力感受性反射激活导致持续的血压降低。本综述的第一部分简单介绍颈动脉窦压力感受性
反射的结构和生理功能。第二部分介绍了最近的动物和临床试验，表明动脉压力感受器激活可长期调控血压。
最后我们回顾了动脉压力感受性反射激活在心血管疾病中的应用。

【Abstract】 The role of the carotid baroreflex in blood pressure regulation has been known for a long time, but
its effects were thought to be short lived. Recent data indicate that stimulation of carotid baroreceptors may lower blood
pressure in the long run. The first part of this review deals with the structure and physiology of the baroreflex circuit. The
second part presents recent animal and human data indicating that baroreceptor activation results in sustained blood pres-
sure reduction. Finally, we review the special populations that might benefit from carotid baroreceptor activation.
