【Abstract】 Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and obstructive sleep apnea syndrome (OSA) are
the two most common diseases in the adult population. The coexistence of COPD and OSA has been termed the over-
lap syndrome. The aim of the present review is to discuss the relationship between COPD and OSA. The clinical fea-
tures and treatment of the overlap syndrome are also discussed.
