【Abstract】 Objective To explore the application value of core muscle group training combined with rehabilita-tion nursing in postoperative rehabilitation of patients with lumbar disc herniation. Methods Eighty patients with lum-bar disc herniation treated by minimally invasive surgery in the Department of Orthopedics, Shanghai Minhang DistrictCentral Hospital from January 2020 to December 2020 were selected as the research objects. They were randomly divid-ed into an observation group and a control group, with 40 patients in each group. Patients in the control group receivedroutine rehabilitation nursing after operation, and those in the observation group were treated with core muscle grouptraining intervention on the basis of the control group. All the patients were treated for 3 months. The changes of pain de-gree [Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) score], lumbar function [Oswestry disability index (ODI) score], curative effect [Jap-anese Orthopaedic Association Scores (JOA) score], and quality of life (SF-36) before and after intervention were com-pared between the two groups. Results Three months after operation, the VAS and ODI scores of the observation groupwere (1.39±0.42) points and (7.42±2.68) points, respectively, which were significantly lower than (1.85±0.61) points and(11.69±3.31) points of the control group; the JOA score of the observation group was (26.34±4.97) points, which was sig-nificantly higher than (22.55±4.46) points of the control group; the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Thetotal score of Mental Component Score (MCS) and physical Component (PCS) score of SF-36 in the observation groupwere (80.43±4.78) points and (84.39±6.52) points, respectively, which were significantly higher than (76.60±5.27) pointsand (79.63±5.46) points in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion The application of core muscle training combinedwith rehabilitation nursing in the postoperative rehabilitation of patients with lumbar disc herniation can effectively alle-viate the pain symptoms and promote the recovery of lumbar function, so as to improve the clinical curative effect andimprove the quality of life of patients.
