【Abstract】 Objective To detect the levels of interleukin 31 (IL-31) and anti-cyclic citrullinated peptide anti-body (ACPA) in peripheral blood of patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA), and to explore the correlation betweenIL-31 and ACPA. Methods From January 2017 to January 2018, 57 RA patients diagnosed in the Affiliated Hospitalof Zunyi Medical University were enrolled in RA group, and 28 healthy people who underwent physical examination inour hospital during the study period were selected as a control group. Peripheral venous blood of the two groups was col-lected and serum was separated. IL-31 levels in peripheral blood were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA), and the ACPA levels was detected by electrochemiluminescence. The correlation between IL-31 and ACPAwas analyzed by Pearson correlation analysis. Results The levels of IL-31 and ACPA in the peripheral blood of the RAgroup were (1 367.28±2 129.15) pg/mL and (323.00±379.21) U/mL, respectively, which were significantly higher thancorresponding (226.66±432.95) pg/mL and (11.28±5.16) U/mL of the control group, and the differences were statistical-ly significant (P<0.05). IL-31 was significantly positively correlated with ACPA (r=0.641, P<0.05). Conclusion Thelevel of IL-31 in peripheral blood of patients with RA is increased and positively correlated with ACPA, indicating thatIL-31 may be involved in the development of RA and plays an important role.
