【Abstract】 Objective To investigate the application effect of core stability training in patients with hemiplegiafollowing cerebral infarction. Methods A total of 176 patients with hemiplegia following cerebral infarction admittedto North China University of Science and Technology Affiliated Hospital from October 2015 to October 2017 were ran-domly divided into control group and observation group, with 88 cases in each group. The control group received routinerehabilitation treatment, and the observation group was treated with a combination of core stability training. Thetreatment lasted for 3 months, and the balance function and activity function were assessed before and after train-ing. Results Compared with the scores before training, the scores increased in two groups after training, includingFugl-Meyer Assessment (FMA), Berg Balance Scale (BBS), Functional Ambulation Categories (FAC), Gross MotorFunction Measure-66 (GMFM-66), Trunk Impairment Scale (TIS), activities of daily living (ADLs), 10 m maximumwalking speed (MWS), and quality of life (QOL); while Stability Index (SI) score decreased in two groups after training(P<0.05). After training, the FMA score, BBS score, FAC score, GMFM-66 score, TIS score, ADL score, 10 m MWSscore, and QOL score in the observation group were higher than those in the control group; while the SI score in the ob-servation group was lower than that in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Core stability training can improve bal-ance function and activity function in patients with hemiplegia following cerebral infarction.
