Submission Instruction
Hainan Medical Journal is a comprehensive academic journal in medical science and technology governed by Hainan Provincial Health Commission and sponsored by Hainan Medical Association. It is included by Statistical Source Journal of the Annual Report of Impact Factors of Chinese Academic Journals, Chinese Core Journal (Selection) Database, Chemical Abstracts (CA), the Statistical Source Journal of Chinese Academic Journal Comprehensive Evaluation Database, the Statistical Source Journal of Chinese Biomedical Literature Database, Chinese Medical Current Contents (CMCC), and Wanfang Data.
The columns include Basic Medicine, Clinical Medicine, Laboratory and Clinical, Pharmacy and Clinical, Imaging and Clinical, Investigation, Clinical Experience, Meta-Analysis, Health Education, Hospital Management, Experience Exchange, Review, Short Article, Nursing, etc.
Submission Instruction
1. Manuscript should be cutting-edge, scientific and logical, with reliable materials, authentic data, clear argumentation, rigorous structure and smooth wording. Medical ethics standard must be implemented. please refer to the "Ethics" and “Writing Standard” page of this website for detailed requirements.
2. The title, abstract, key words, figure/table headings, figure/table annotations should be both in Chinese and English. Chinese references should be translated into English.
3. A recommendation letter from author’s institute must be submitted along with the manuscript, including comments on the article and a statement testifying that the article does not involve multiple submission, confidential break or dispute of authorship.
4. Submission method: Hainan Medical Journal began to adopt online submission system in 2008. Please visit http://www.hainanyixue.cn (official website) and make online submission. This is the only submission method. Authors can check status online at any time. Please read carefully the requirements and instructions on this website before submitting.
5. If the article is funded by national, ministerial or provincial project or belongs to a key project, a copy of funding certificate should be provided and the information should be noted on the first page of the article, such as: funding project: National Natural Science Foundation (59637050); National "863" high-tech research and development plan (102-10-02-03).
6. Innovative scientific research achievements with international leading level or achievement firstly published worldwide will be processed in “fast-track”. For articles applying for "fast-track" publishing, an innovation statement (with two expert review comments from different institutes) and a repetition detection report must be provided.
7. The journal has no partnership with any third-party website, organization or individual for article submission or reviewing. It is strictly forbidden to submit through agency. If any such case is found, the journal will permanently refuse to publish any of the author's contributions, and the fees paid to the journal will not be refunded.
Fees
1. The article processing fee (RMB 100 yuan) shall be payable for each submitted manuscript. The remittance shall be made through bank. Detailed instruction shall be found in the submission system.
2. The page charge (RMB 300-500 yuan/page) shall be payable for each accepted article. The remittance shall be made through bank. Detailed instruction shall be found in the submission system. After publishing, two copies of the current issue shall be posted to the first author.
Copyright and Archive
1. Hainan Medical Journal began to adopt open access policy in 2021 . Once published, all articles will be immediately and permanently available for readers to read and download free of charge. Permitted third party reuse of the articles published by the journal is defined by the following user license: Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0). This license allows reusers to copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format. The licensor cannot revoke these freedoms as long as the license terms below are followed: reusers must give appropriate credit, provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made. Reusers may do so in any reasonable manner, but not in any way that suggests the licensor endorses the use. Reusers may not use the material for commercial purposes. If reusers remix, transform, or build upon the material, they may not distribute the modified material. 2. The authors of the article shall sign the Copyright Transfer Agreement and transfer the copyright and related property rights of the article to the editorial office of Hainan Medical Journal worldwide. The editorial office has, but not limited to, the following rights to use part or all of the article: the right of compilation, distribution, reproduction, translation, online publishing and dissemination; permitting indexing and inclusion by domestic and foreign literature retrieval systems, networks and databases; publishing (or licensing third-parties to publish) the article in any form or any languages; making use of the article in a way that does not violate the current or future laws and regulations of the People's Republic of China.
3. All articles published in this journal after 2012 have been digitally archived on this website, and articles published 2012-2020 are changed to open access with users’ rights defined by CC BY-NC-ND 4.0. For articles published before 2012, the hard and soft copy of each issue had been kept in the editorial office for archiving, but these articles are not released online and not open access. In order to ensure data security, all information has also been backed up in the editorial office. In addition, other relevant materials are also kept by the editorial office, such as supplementary information and forms provided by the authors. The full text of articles published in this journal can also be downloaded from third-party platforms including CNKI, Wanfang Data and Weipu. In case the journal and the website were closed, archiving data could be retrieved through those full-text databases.
